The work of foreign journalists and media companies, documentary photographers and film makers, and writers working in Ukraine, covering Russia′s War Crimes is very important to bring it to light for the world and we believe it helps to achieve justice. We are grateful for the work you do in Ukraine.

For working in Ukraine you need to obtain media accreditation that is conducted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the national and foreign mass media representatives.

Also, to this e-mail address you need send:
1. Copy of a passport (first and second pages);
2. Photocopy of a journalistic (media) ID;
3. A letter from the Editor in Chief (head) of the mass media outlet with a request to provide accreditation;
4. A photo
A new type of press card is valid for up to six months.
To work in combat areas for mass media please be aware that there are three zones:
green zone - accredited representatives of the media are allowed to work without the accompaniment of a public relations officer or another official designated by the commander.
yellow zone - accredited media representatives are allowed to work only if accompanied by a public relations officer or another official designated by the commander
red zone - no mass media representatives allowed, even if accredited.

Filming in Ukraine
Filming in Ukraine is attractive to global film production companies and brands because it is cost-effective. Costs can be 3-4 times lower than in Europe, Israel or the United States. The film infrastructure in Ukraine is well developed and there are a number of film studios, post-production facilities and equipment hiring companies.
Ukraine has a diverse range of interesting and unique filming locations from industrial post soviet architecture to the wild natural landscapes of the Ukrainian steppe and the beautiful Carpathian mountains. There is also the Oleshkiv Sands, one of Europe’s real deserts.
It is possible to get permission to shoot in places where many other countries would not allow you to film. Time Machine Productions can organize filming in the unique locations of Ukraine, wild nature or busy cities, in the Chernobyl exclusion zone, railway stations, underground, abandoned buildings, and factories.

Cash rebate for foreign film productions in Ukraine
Among the benefits for filming in Ukraine is a cash rebate of up to 25% for qualifying productions.
Foreign film productions can have a cost recovery and reimburse up to 25% of qualified film production costs in Ukraine, and an additional 5% if they meet certain special cultural criteria on Ukrainian issues.
Foreign cinematographers, film and TV productions making documentaries, feature films and animated films, TV feature films, animated series, music videos and commercials can all apply for these state subsidies.
Entry regime to Ukraine for foreign citizens
No visas are required for citizens of EU, US, UK, Israel and more than 50 other countries for a stay up to 90 days within a 180 day period.
Ukraine is a member of the international ATA system
If you are planning to bring a film equipment for the project in Ukraine the ATA carnet system would be a good approach, Ukraine is a member of the international ATA system.
